We accept payment by all major debit and credit cards, these payments are processed by PayPal. You do not need a PayPal account to make a payment by card. You can also pay with your PayPal balance using this option if you do have a PayPal account. This ensures that your payment is fully covered by PayPals payment protection policy and is also covered by your bank or card issuer under their terms. The payment will show up on your card or bank statement with the Payment reference DGTGHOMES.
Bank Transfer (UK and customers in EC member state countries only):
Bank transfer payments are made manually by the customer after completing checkout. We do not collect money from your account. Once you have completed checkout successfully payment instructions will be available to you on screen if you have chosen bank transfer as your payment method. Your order confirmation email will also contain the information you need to make payment. Payment can be made using your online banking facility, telephone banking or by visiting your branch in person. We will hold orders in a pending status for a maximum of 5 working days and they will be processed as soon as we receive payment.
Cheque/Postal Order Payments (UK customers only):
Cheque and postal order payments are made manually by the customer after completing checkout by sending payment to us in the post. Once you have completed checkout successfully payment instructions will be available to you on screen and your order confirmation email will also contain the information you need to make payment. Please make cheques and postal orders payable to: DGTGHOMES and send to our address as stated on the contact us page. Please include a note stating your name and order number with your payment. We will hold your order in a pending status for a maximum of 10 working days and it will be processed as soon as we receive cleared payment. You may send your entire order by post if you would rather not order online. Please remember to include contact information and a delivery address in your note if you choose to order by post.
Card Payment Help:
PayPal will usually throw an error or refuse payment if the billing and/or shipping address details are different to those registered to the card you are using to pay. We recommend you contact PayPal support who will help you make your payment successfully. If you need to provide an alternate delivery address for your order, please place a new order to be shipped to your billing address and add the preferred delivery address to your order comments during checkout.
PayPal will sometimes flag a payment and require further information from you. PayPal hold the funds during this security check which is often perfomed at random as part of their payment protection policy. If you receive a message from paypal asking for further information regarding your payment to us please provide them with the required inforamtion to prevent any delays with processing your order.
If you wish to pay by credit or debit card your order must be placed and paid for online. We do not take card payments over the phone. We take data protection very seriously and for this reason we only use PayPal for card payments. Think of all the information you already have to give to an online store to make a purchase, your full name, address, postcode and date of birth. These are essential to prove you are an adult, and to enable your order to be delivered. We feel that including your card details with all of this information puts consumers at too great a risk. A high street store does not require this much information to enable you to purchase, so they can take a card payment without needing all of your personal data and you are less at risk. By using a separate company to process card payments we are ensuring that our customers are less vulnerable to identity theft. We, like most online stores, constantly update our website software with security patches and updates that prevent hacking attempts and improve security, we never share the information you provide to us to anyone, but no website is invincible. Prevention is always better than a cure and although this may be inconvenient for some customers who are in a rush to order, we cannot emphasize enough how important it is to be careful with the information you provide on the internet. If you or someone you know has ever been a victim of identity theft you will know and hopefully understand why we feel this is so important.
Manual Payment Help:
If you are paying by bank transfer we will update your order and notify you by email once your payment is visible in our account. Our account is checked twice a day during office hours to ensure your order is processed just as quickly as a card payment. If we do not receive payment within the time limit the order will be cancelled. If you are paying by cheque or postal order we will update your order and notify you by email once your payment has been received. These payments will be paid in to our bank on the same day or the next working day if received on a Saturday and your order will then be processed as normal.
Please use a payment method that you are happy to send and receive payments with. If we need to refund you for all or part of an order, the refund will be made using the same method as the initial payment as is required of us by law.
